Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette ($49) is a new metallic matte eyeshadow palette that launched last week which includes a round of 16 cocoa infused shades. Many of the blog posts I’ve seen about the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Metallic/Matte Eyeshadow Palette are calling it a Holiday 2017 release but personally I think it is a preview of Spring 2018 since the brand typically releases their Spring Collection around this time of the year. Mind you, I’m positive we’ll see more from Too Faced as we head deeper into Spring but the name of the game is money. That means we end up seeing two to three mini collections per season where as before it used to be one.

But I digress, let’s get back to the chatting the palette. Too Faced continues to churn out really poorly formulated eyeshadow palettes lately like the Clover Eyeshadow Palette and White Chocolate Bar (which I didn’t even have to buy to know it would be bad). This causes some of their smarter fans to be naturally wary of purchasing new releases from them. I know I’m one. However, Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette looked a lot more promising than some of what they have putting out lately so, I decided to give it a try. Here’s my thoughts.
