OleHenriksen Lemonade Smoothing Scrub Shouldn’t Be Allowed On Your Face
OleHenriksen Lemonade Smoothing Scrub launched today at sephora.com and has 121 favorable reviews already and I’m all like don’t put this on your face please don’t! This is a new exfoliating scrub that promises to retexture your skin while removing dry skin and reducing pore size with AHAs, lemon peel, and sugar. And I cringed. Glycolic, Lactic Acids, and lemon peel" Holy cow. Have you ever stupidly made the mistake of cleansing your face with your Clarisonic and proceeding to use a physical facial scrub after" THE BURN OH GOD THE BURN!
This sounds like an incredibly harsh scrub. It has some really excellent ingredients like Glycolic and Lactic Acid both of which are great to remove dead skin build up but the addition of lemon peel and lemon extract is a huge problem in my opinion. This is really going to make for a harsh scrubbing experiencing. Not to mention it can be very skin sensitizing! It should come as no real surprise though that OleHenriksen released this as they do tend to favor lemon and citrus extracts in a lot of their skin care.
It sounds fun" But I think it might be a really harsh scrub. I’m going to skip this one! Not sure I need to be rubbing lemon and AHAs onto my skin at the same time.
What do you think"
