Covergirl Ascension Eyeshadow Palette ($14.98) is one of four new larger eyeshadow palettes that launched on April 8th with the Covergirl Her Majesty Collection just around the time Game of Thrones was ready for their series finale run. I know after reviewing both the Covergirl Revolution Eyeshadow Palette and Reign Eyeshadow Palette from this collection we all got Game of Thrones vibes from this collection. These also happened to launch around the same time Urban Decay’s Game of Thrones Collection launched and offered a cheaper alternative to UD’s offerings.
I can’t say I didn’t love that feeling because I’m a total geek and I love seeing my geeky world collided with my makeup one.
So far, the Reign Eyeshadow Palette, also part of the Her Majesty Collection, gave me Lannister vibes. And the Reign Eyeshadow Palette gave me dragon fever with its assortment of fiery oranges, reds, and coppers. I’d say the Ascension Eyeshadow Palette is a nod to our Queen of the North in Winterfell, Sansa with it’s pure white cover.
