I am sure a lot of us have used lip crayons and lip pencils that are thicker than the usual lip liners. I have owned a couple from NARS (a lot of them have already been reviewed on IMBB).  NARS has a huge color selection and a lot of other rival b*rands have come up with such pencils. The new entrants on the scene are the MAC Velvetease lip pencils with up to 20 shades in this range.  Today, I am reviewing the shade “Lover’s Lane” from MAC Velvetease lip pencil range, which is a deep orange matte color.

Texture and Application:  Creamy matte texture, glides on the lips, does not settle on to dry patches of the lips.
Pigmentation and Coverage:  The pigmentation is better than average and one swipe deposits up to 70% of the color. It does hide dark spots on lips, but you need further layering.
Shade and Finish:  This shade is a deep orange color with a mild shine finish.

Staying Power:  Stays on for 3+ hours, but fades uneven...
