From beauty to fashion, inspo is coming from the ’90s. All the it-girls, (i.e. Gigi Hadid, the Jenners, Selena Gomez) were born during this decade, so, duh. But let’s leave it to the ultimate trendsetter, Kylie Jenner, to school us on what’s in -and, according to her put,  brown lipstick is most definitely in. While it may sound daring — or unwearable" — and the colors aren’t exactly pretty on their own (can you say eyeshadow shades"), the brown lipstick trend is surprisingly easy to pull off. MAC recently added 8 new shades to their Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolor ($21) line for spring, including Simply Smoked, Ess-presso, Café Au Chic, and Flesh Stone, all varying shades of neutral browns. And NYX’s Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick ($7) line is 24 sexy shades of browns, the stand-outs: Satin Ribbon, Lace Detail, and Honeymoon. To get in on the brown lip trend, make your lips the focus, choose a flattering brown, and keep the rest of your makeup muted. Brown is also the ideal color to use to create a fierce monochromatic makeup look (after all, you already have the brown shadows and brow products!). When it comes to a brown pout, you can go glossy, matte, or make it a bit more subtle with a sheen finish.
