Today, I will be reviewing a lipstick from Elle 18 – “Red Spin.” It’s one of the most affordable lipsticks out there in the Indian beauty market, let’s see how it fared.

My Experience with Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick Red Spin:
Elle 18 lipsticks come in a very classic black plastic packaging with the graphic image of a girl in pink printed over it. The plastic isn?t sturdy, it cracks pretty soon. The twist-up/retractable mechanism works very well and the cap shuts with a click. The sticker at the bottom displays the shade number and name. It isn?t colour coded so it?s difficult to find the shade you?re looking for quickly. Also, there is no list of ingredients mentioned anywhere on the packaging.
With the “Red Spin,” one might think it would be a red shade, but no, it is not a pure red lipstick. It is actually a maroon lipstick. The colour is beautiful nonetheless. It is a gorgeous deep maroon shade tha would go perfectly well with Indian skin tones.

This lipstick is nicely pigmented and goes on super smoothly. You only need 2-3 coats for a bold pout. The texture is creamy and feels very comfortable on the lips. It doesn?t dry out my lips and I can wear this shade for a very long time without using a lip balm. It doesn?t highlight dry patches or settle into fine lines of the lips. It is moisturizing on the lips and settles to a creamy matte finish after 30 minutes of wear.
