Recognizing depression at an early stage is of utmost importance else it can grow into something which may require medical help. Early stages of depression may have signs such as irregular sleeping patterns, lack of energy, difficulty in getting out of bed, irritability, etc. Depression can occur at any age. It can be due to any reason. Here are a few steps to help combat the depressed side of you.
1. Recognition
Recognizing that you?re depressed is a big step. Most people feel ill at ease at owning up to the fact that they?re actually depressed. Once you recognize, you?re halfway through. Think of all the things you would say to a loved one if they are depressed, and make sure you repeat those things every day in your head.
2. Cause of anger
Being depressed may not only be because you?re sad; it may be because you?re angry at something. Once you recognize the cause, whether it’s anger or sadness, try to figure out what is causing that. Isolate yourself from the cause and slowly try to make yourself comfortable with the cause. Also, don?t let the feeling of anger become a part of you.
3. Be active
When depressed, your energy levels drop down drastically. Low energy levels do not let you get out of the bed. Exercising releases neurochemicals called endorphins, which help elevate your mood. Getting your heart rate up...
