Hello ladies,

I have been on a movie marathon for the past couple of days and I am loving it absolutely! During this binge, I happened to notice and realize how women are becoming more empowered, on and off screen. Few of the best movies have women as the main face and how proud are we to see that gone are the days where the movie only had a male as their lead. We women are coming out stronger and united, let?s take IMBB for example. How rare is it to have such a large community and platform where thousands of women support and appreciate each other on a daily basis! *hugs to you all* So here, I have listed below the greatest women-centric movies of all times. I am sure you guys will have a lot more movies to add to the list, please feel free! These are a few of my personal favorites.
1. Mother India (1957)

This movie (remake of Aurat) was one of its first which showed the power and strength of a woman as a mother. This melodrama upheld an inspiring woman who despite her plight and difficulties fought for herself and her children proving to be a pioneer of strength and determination.
2. Water (2005)

This movie shows a group of widows living in a temple in Varanasi (forcibly). One of the women falls in love with a man from an upper caste and that is when the problem starts. It is a beautiful story of a widow who wants to fight against the injustice and social restrictions imposed on women. She fights for her love and her rights. MUST WATCH!
