Too Faced Peanut Butter & Honey Eyeshadow Palette ($36) is a new take on the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Eyeshadow Palette that launched last year. Too Faced continues on their kawaii trek with more cute food inspired eyeshadow palettes and I see no end in site for this trend. If you’re a fond fan of Japanese popular culture it’s easy enough to get sucked into purchasing palettes like the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Honey Palette and Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette, etc…! The design and cute graphics definitely give up a Japanese kawaii culture vibe. I’m one that’s always been terribly attracted to cute beauty products which might account for my love of Japanese and Korean makeup. I really do think Too Faced was influenced heavily by Eastern makeup releases and collections when creating these food themed palettes and I have a feeling they’ll be more to come in this range. Unfortunately, although cute many of these releases haven’t been on par with Too Faced’s normal range of products and the Peanut Butter and Honey Eyeshadow Palette is testimony of that. This is probably one of the worst palettes I’ve seen from Too Faced in the past few months (of course, let’s, not forget the Chocolate Chip and White Chocolate Chip Palettes though). The back of the box does say Made in Canada for those interested.
