Tarte is busy channeling Korean brand, Labiotte, today with a new Wine Not Lipgloss & Brush Set and Rose is Bae Lipgloss & Brush Set (please stop with these horrible makeup brushes) for Spring 2019.
Tarte, Tarte, Tarte y u do this to yourself" I mean, Labiotte is sort of cute but you guys are trying a little too hard. You see, you might have just had me on the cute wine bottle shaped lipgloss but you KILLED things with the glass shaped brush! Don’t you understand no one likes these brushes!" They are awkward to use and cumbersome to store. Not everyone wants to have a set of brushes that we can take photos of and post on Instagram. We actually want to buy a brush we can like use on our face to apply makeup and stuff. Weren’t the flamingo brushes enough!" Ok, I’ll stop ranting!

These two new sets do have a Labiotte vibe. If you’re familiar with Labiotte you know they have some rather cute wine bottle and goblet packaging. Seems like Tarte took a little inspiration from them! I think Labiotte does a little bit of a better job though packaging wise. Their version is cute where as Tarte’s feels a little too try hard.
