Essence Metal Shock Eyeshadow Review & Swatches
Essence Metal Shock Eyeshadow ($4.99) is a fairly new cream eyeshadow that’s available in 7 shade selections. I picked up the shade 1 Second to Mars which is such a pretty golden peachy pink. I truly did buy it for the shade and not because it reminded me of Jared Leto.
Someone in one of my posts mentioned how much cheaper Metal Shock Eyeshadow was compared to Stila’s Glitter & Glow formula but I had my doubts this would be anything like it. Don’t get me wrong about 90% of the Essence Cosmetics line I’ve tried has all been great but I didn’t expect this formula to be loaded up with super shimmer the way Stila’s is.
I mean, really that would be great if they were right" I’d still totally buy any new shades that Stila does but it would be a heck of a nice thing if there really was a $4.99 dupe around. Sadly, that is so not the case here. Essence Metal Shock Eyeshadow is actually disappointing but at this point, having tried only one shade, I’m blaming the color versus the formula.
This arrives in a 0.11 oz chubby little barrel with an attached sponge applicator for application. It’s pretty much the same packaging you get from Jordana’s Made to Last Liquid Eyeshadow which happen to be the same price with a far superior formula.
