The number one piece of self-care advice I give to my self-employed, entrepreneurial friends is this: relish in your independence and your freedom to work when and where you want, but don’t forget the importance of human connection. Not only is collaboration and conversation good for our creativity, but its important for our soul, too, as “woo-woo” as that sounds.  It’s important that we make time for coffee dates. Invite friends over for a work-day. Join local groups or a co-working space to get yourself out of the house at least a few times a month. And, if you can manage it, sign yourself up for a retreat or conference that really connects with your passions. Below is a list of retreats and conferences that are on my radar for the year ahead:
