HOW I STYLE THIS SIMPLE HAIR ACCESSORY
Silk hair accessories are one of the biggest trends this year. If you’re ever out shopping, you’ll likely notice that there’s an abundance of silk scrunchies, hair ties, headbands and head wraps. Over Coachella weekend, I couldn’t get enough of this mustard-colored silk scarf by Donni, and I styled it in a few different ways. I love being able to repurpose an item that I’m already a fan of, and the silk headscarf is perfect for that. This is how I style the fashionable hair accessory in three different ways.
Loose Ponytail
A relaxed, low-maintenance ponytail can be dressed up with the right accessory. This past weekend I slicked my waves back into a loose pony and then tied the headscarf around the top, and it made all the difference. Just wrap it around your hair tie with two knots and leave the edges out. Classic Waves
You guys know I love a set of simple, bouncy waves. When I didn’t feel like picking my hair up, I wore the mustard headscarf with my hair down. Instead of wearing it like a regular headband, I made sure to tie the top half into a teeny bow that sat right above the center of my head. I loved this because it kept the front of my hair from dealing with any humidity and I didn’t have to worry about frizz.
