Deemed the ?suspicious six? (a clever catch phrase, no"), Drunk Elephant founder Tiffany Masterson chose to omit the following from every formula: silicones, essential oils, chemical screens, SLS, drying alcohols, and fragrance/dyes. In 2020, forgoing silicones, SLS and the like might sound like it ain?t no thing ? but 2012 was a different time. Now, there is a demand for ?clean? beauty. Back then, these chemicals were the norm. Masterson set her cosmetic chemists and formulators quite the task.
