Urban Decay is shutting down their UK Website. As per a notice on their website they are closing down the website permanently and are instead working with retail partners to get their makeup in the hands of their fans. The Urban Decay UK website is accepting their last orders as of December 28th. The brand hasn’t quite been at peak level performance in several years now but it still has a strong consumer and fan base and this doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be closing up shop anytime soon here in the USA. A lot of brands have been closing their websites across a variety of countries lately. It’s sort of quietly done and we don’t really realizing it’s happening but Too Faced has done the same in the past year. They even closed up the store they opened in Liverpool about a year or so ago! I’m not saying Urban Decay is doing fantastically but I don’t think they are headed for closure here in the USA either. It doesn’t seem like it but the beauty industry saw a 15% increase in beauty sales last year. The note on the Urban Decay UK website can be read below.
