Guys.
I did a thing.
I went and purchased a bunch of pot gel eyeliners, eyeliner pencils, and primers in an array of pastel shades. I used to be the Nile in Eygpt. I remember it well. It was Spring 2009 and the Shu Uemura Mirage Collection launched and I was convinced that soft, pastel colors were something I could actually wear. I remember really loving pastels for a long time. I remember thinking how soft, pretty, delicate, and feminine they were. I also remember when reality set in and I realized how in denial I was about how truly bad they looked on me.

I’m a light-medium skin tone with a peachy undertone and I think it’s fair enough to say light baby pink, baby chicken yellow, sky blue, and delicate lavenders just aren’t for me. I look a little like rigor mortis set in when I attempt these shades. Guys, I used to wear pastel green eyeshadow like it was a good thing. But I went and did the weirdest thing and purchased a the Pastel Please PR Kit from Beauty Creations.

I’m still on the fence about why I did it.
We were blessed with some incredible tickets for Coachella this weekend and my body is telling me, “Jesus you’re too old for this sh1t!” this morning but my heart is singing how fun it was to actually be at a music festival again.
