I’ve never actually celebrated a blogging anniversary on Musings of a Muse and today isn’t an anniversary but I realized while looking at some of my numbers today that I’ve been blogging over 10 years, and I’ve done 21,824 posts, gotten 315,895 comments, and uploaded over 78,000 photos.
How’s that for history" I’m officially a dinosaur! Beauty, makeup, and the community it lives and thrives off of has changed dramatically over the years. Nowadays most millennials don’t have the attention span for a regular beauty blog but instead turn to social media, Instagram in particular, for their daily fix of makeup and beauty. I get it. We live very busy lives and the quickiest fix of beauty we can get the more time we have to be doing to dozen other things we have going on. But I continue to chug on as I have the best readers around. You guys make doing this so much fun. There are days I wake up at 4AM so I can take photos and write posts for the day ahead. And some of those days I just want to throw my comforter over my head and sleep until 6ish like most normal people. But I remind myself there are brilliant people eagerly waiting for new posts and news on beauty and I wouldn’t want to disappoint any of you. Waking up at stupid o’clock to work on posts for the day is worth it when I’m surrounded by you, my friends and extended family, to share the love of makeup and beauty with.
