I was just saying yesterday that the Stila Ultimate Spring 2018 Kit might start a stir in the beauty world where brands starting releasing their entire seasonal collection in one kit. We’ve already seen this a little bit over the past year with launches from Tarte and Wet n Wild but I think we might just see more brands start doing this.
I actually don’t scoff at the idea at all because at one point in my makeup life I’d likely be excited that some of my favorite brands were packaging the contents of all their seasonal collection into one money saving set. There have been times, times I’m a little embarrassed about, where I hauled an entire MAC Collection. I imagine if you’re new to makeup, just discovering it, or you’re just a collector that the idea of hauling entire collection is appealing. I’m actually not at that point in my makeup life anymore. I’m good with one or two pieces from a collection. Plus nowadays there aren’t any real seasonal collections anymore anyway. Typically brands do a major palette release ever other day without releasing any matching lipglosses or other pieces of makeup.
