Pretty Vulgar Bury Them With A Smile Matte Lipstick Review & Swatches
I picked up one of the new Pretty Vulgar Bury Them With A Smile Matte Lipstick ($24) shades because of the packaging. Yes, I’m that girl who buys makeup because it’s pretty. Sometimes you have to give into the illogical side of your personally and buy matte lipstick, even though you really don’t like mattes, because the packaging is so gorgeous. It’s ok if you don’t want to admit that this has happened to you before. I totally get it. But we all know it’s happened to every makeup lover at some point in your lives.
As you know Pretty Vulgar is all about the pretty. This new brand recently popped up on Sephora.com and everyone got terribly excited because of the princess-y packaging. I have to admit in recent year’s I’ve become a bit immune to pretty packaging. Sure, I love it but I’ve tried so much makeup that I realize, finally, that packaging isn’t everything. It’s really how the makeup performs that matters most. But for some reason or another Pretty Vulgar ended up capturing my eye because it reminded me so much of Jadilla J, which is a Korean brand that’s very similiar in style to Jill Stuart. Cute pretty packaging is fairly common in Asia but I think the US market isn’t as quite up to speed on such packaging.
