Niod Sanskrit Saponins Is Something I Don’t Exactly Get
I purchased NIOD Sanskrit Saponins ($28) earlier this Summer because for some reason or another my normally dry skin decided to become extra oily. The entire idea of NIOD Sanskrit Saponins was it would act to deeply cleanse skin by removing dirt, oil, and dead skin cells. Missing something" It doesn’t remove makeup! That’s not what it was created for. I was fine with that because I thought I’d use it as part of my double cleansing method.
Since purchasing it I can honestly say I don’t exactly understand this formula and I’m not really sure what it is doing.
As with most Deciem and NIOD skincare launches this is very over hyped! Reading the reviews it sounds like Sanskrit Saponins is the end all product to perfect skin. It is not. Described as a cleansing balm it comes housed in a metal squeeze tube that’s available in two sizes. Thankfully I purchased the smaller 3 oz size which was $28 and not the $50 version. I don’t this is a cleansing balm formula by any means. It’s a creamy texture that doesn’t produce any lather which is meant to be used on wet skin after you removed makeup or if you weren’t wearing makeup at all. I started to use it in my double cleansing method in the evening but I moved on to using in the AM in the shower simply because I found it too stripping to use in a double cleansing routine. I do admit and have admitted in the past I found cleansers, shower gels, etc that don’t lather ...
