NARS The Veil Cheek Palette Review & Swatches
NARS The Veil Cheek Palette ($49) is a new, limited edition palette that launched with the NARS x Man Ray Holiday 2017 Collection that includes blush, bronzer, and highlighter. If you’re anything like me and simply can’t get your contouring game down correctly this is one of the easier contouring palettes to work with. It includes three complimentary shades that apply, blend, and look flawless with very little work.
Let’s take a look!
The Veil Cheek Palette is named after one of Man Ray’s photographs featuring a sultry, mysterious woman that graces the cover of the compact. Her arched brows and dead on stare gives off little emotion but you still get the vibe she is somehow hiding something. There’s almost a supernatural quality to the image in someways. She may be mysterious, dark, and sultry but the shades in the palette are anything but. The popping limited edition Lovesick Blush is the star of the show here. NARS dubs it a watermelon shade but I felt like it was a bright orange-y coral. The smooth, satiny finish is extremely pigmented with a long, strong wear of 10 plus hours. The smooth texture fooled me as I felt for sure I’d struggle picking up color due to the density of the surface. Not the case at all! You really have to use a light touch when swiping a brush this as this packs on pigmentation and a little goes a long way.
