Go vampy for the Holidays with the new, limited edition NARS Photogloss Kiki Lip Lacquer ($26) that launched with the Man Ray x NARS Holiday 2017 Collection. NARS went a little vampier and edgy with their Holiday red lip offering this year. Kiki isn’t a traditional, festive red but more like a rocker red that modernizes everything you know about Holiday reds.

NARS Photogloss Lip Lacquer is a thicker, hybrid lipgloss formula that has a glossy finish and the pay off a liquid lipstick. The formula is super pigmented as Kiki is testimony to how incredibly intense the colors are on this formula. A single application provides opaque color with a light moisturizing texture and a subtle vanilla flavor and fragrance. There’s a little tackiness here but nothing uncomfortable with a wear of four hours.
Kiki is an outstanding shade that would have made for a great Fall release to pair up with all these metallic eyeshadows we are seeing the last few months. It’s also quite different for the Holidays as the color is a vampy burgundy with a high shine finish. I had issues with this one streaking and trying to sneak around my lip line. If you keep smoothing it on with the applicator you’ll get an even finish it just takes a second or two. I recommend a clear lip liner to keep it straying around your mouth.
