Makeup Revolution Precious Stone Loose Highlighter ($8) is a new, limited edition Holiday 2019 highlighter that’s available in three shades. I purchased this little guy when it was on sale during Ulta’s Friendsgiving Sale along with the Precious Stone Eyeshadow Palette in Ruby!
I know, I know! You’re thinking, “but you hate highlighter…!” True! But I saw the shade Ruby Crush and I reminded myself how much I loved Wet n Wild’s Flights of Fancy Color Icon Baked Blush in Dare to Soar and I was all, “I need sparkly red cheeks for Christmas!”
Don’t get too excited because that’s sadly not exactly what I got from Makeup Revolution Precious Stone Loose Highlighter…!

Makeup Revolution Precious Stone Loose Highlighter comes in a plastic sifter jar with a sparkly red top. The sifter does close off making it a nice, mess-free jar. It’s 0.176 oz in size and it’ll set you back $8 but often enough the brand is on sale and you’ll never really have to pay full price. The texture is a little chunkier than I’d typically like. I’d compare it to a MAC Loose Pigment. I wish it was a bit more finer and silkier as I think a texture like that would be easier to work with when it comes to a highlighter. I felt like when I was swirling and tapping that my brush wasn’t picking much of the powder up for some reason. Find a nice, soft fiber brush to use with this as that seems to work best!
