L’Oreal Colour Riche Matte Lipstick is a new matte finish lipstick collection available in 16 shades that launched earlier this Summer in time for the Fall 2017 season. As you know I’m not a matte lipstick kind of girl but I decided to pick up two of these none the less to review and swatch up here on the blog.

L’Oreal Colour Riche Matte Lipstick is a fairly inexpensive and uneventful lipstick. If you’re embracing mattes for your Fall looks they are far better formulas available at the drugstore (Rimmel The Only One Matte is a great one!).
Depending where you purchase these lipsticks they can set you back $6 to $9 which each barrel holding 0.13 oz of product. I got mine at Harmons and I believe I paid $5.49 each so, not really too bad a deal. The formula is quite dry but not so dry that the lipstick tugs during application. It does however, have a tendency to fall into my natural lip lines which gives it the appearance of looking quite dry and less than smooth. The application was easy enough with a light, creamy consistency that glided onto lips easily. The finish is actually a little more creamy than pure matte. I had no issues with it feathering during the four hour wear time but it was comfortable during that time and felt rather dry. They do have a light perfume-y flavor and fragrance.
