Kat Von D Lock-It Brightening Powder ($25) is a new tinted loose powder that launched for Spring 2017 which can be used in conjunction with the new Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer Crème to set concealer and brighten up your entire under eye area.
For a very long time I was a user, lover, and diehard fan girl of Skin Food Salmon Dark Circle Powder before it was very sadly discontinued. Before that though I tried and wasn’t a fan of Laura Mercier’s Secret Brightening Powder. I tried hard to replace my Skin Food powder and I finally settled on Ben Nye Banana Powder after trying a variety of different powders. I also switch up occasionally from my Ben Nye and use Besame’s wonderful Brightening Vanilla Face Powder.
As big a fan as I am of Ben Nye I was more than willing to try the new Kat Von D Lock-It Brightening Powder! Here are my thoughts and review.

Kat Von D Lock-It Brightening Powder is available in three shade selections but I picked up two of those three shades. I got the shade Golden which is a warm banana yellow that was created for deeper skin tones. It’s a lot darker if you’re comparing it to Ben Nye’s Banana Powder. I also picked up Peach which is a warm bisque peach for medium skin tones. Both shaded worked great on me but I liked Golden best as it seemed to brighten my eye area the best.
