Essence Pure Nude Baked Blush Review & Swatches
Essence Pure Nude Baked Blush ($5.99/0.24 oz) is a new lightweight, pigmented blush inspired by Essence’s beloved classic Pure Nude Highlighter. Available in eight shades these are a baked formula that promises a lightweight, pigmented finish. I had a funny little feeling these would sell out fast after I purchased two shades and I was right. Currently, there are only three of the eight shades available at ulta.com.
I happen to love baked blush! I’d say that probably stems from my love of Laura Geller Blush n Brighten and the old Bourjois Paris Little Round Pot Blush Blusher. When I saw these launch two weeks ago on Ulta’s website I didn’t hesitate to purchase a few. I was going off promo images but I was a little disappointed with the shade range as many of them looked the same which is why I only got two. But aside from that I actually really, really liked this formula and I hope Essence releases more in the future.
Essence Pure Nude Baked Blush definitely falls in the cheap thrills category. At six bucks each these blushes are generously sized and come packaged in a basic black package with a clear bubble top that you case see the blush shade through.
The ingredients do say the blushes contain mica and the few reviews I read on Ulta sounded promising but I did keep reading that people found them too shimmery. I gotta say I wouldn’t mind shimmer but the finish for me was a pure silky satin no shimmer, glitter, nor glow was in visible on my...
