Colourpop So Juicy Plumping Gloss Balm are a new, affordable version of Tarte’s Maracuja Juicy Lip Gloss Balm. These new lipgloss balm hybrids give lips a slick, shiny look with hydrating ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid and Tucuma Butter and promise add volume to lips for a plumped up plush look. Tarte has quite a bit of competition lately with the launch of these as well as E.L.F.’s new Pout Clout Lip Plumping Pens and the NYX Fat Oil Slick Click Lip Balm. I really liked the NYX ones but wasn’t a fan of the E.L.F. but by far by favorite of these budget versions is the Colourpop So Juicy Plumping Gloss Balm!

The NYX Fat Oil Slick Click Lip Balms are more of a balmy consistency have a lot less shine compared to this formula. Where as the E.L.F. match the highly glossy finish of this formula but I thought Colourpop’s formula applied a lot better than the E.L.F. one. These are SUPER soft and melty quite a good deal more so than the E.L.F. and Tarte formula.
