Becca Medium to Deep Under Eye Brightening Corrector Review
Becca Medium to Deep Under Eye Brightening Corrector ($32) is a new shade for medium to darker skin tones that was sadly lacking from the original launch. I actually didn’t like this product at all when I originally purchased and tried it but I thought I’d revisit it now that they have a new shade as I was curious if that might somehow change my mind. You see, the original shade was not very flattering on me. It’s a pale pink shade that reminded me of calamine lotion. It looked quite frosty and odd under my eyes. A lot of that is redeemed with the medium to deep shade so, there’s a good deal improvement here in the shade.
Let’s take a look!
As I said above the shade is quite better in this release. I think the lighter shade produces more of a luminous frostiness under my eyes where as this medium to deep shade lacks that luminosity and has way better color correcting abilities. They still promote it as a light-reflecting illuminating corrector but I just felt like this shade didn’t put a strobe light under my eyes the way the lighter one thing. Sadly, this shade didn’t work out for me either as it was a bit too dark. It’s a tan orange-y shade which will diffuse the look of dark circles under a darker skin tone than my own. Orange is an excellent way to diffuse darkness on medium, tan, and darker skin types. I think I’d probably fit right in if they had a light to medium shade available but sadly, the original just does...
