Let's forget if your stash is bulging with red, nude or shocking pink lipsticks, it is not shade here that matters, rather I want to know all about the lipstick formulation and textures that blew you away. That one lipstick (again shade aside) that you slicked on and thought "my goodness, this is it".

Now this doesn't have to be the lipstick you wear everyday, perhaps it was a pricey splurge that knocked your socks off, or maybe the lipstick in question is in a bold shade that isn't quite work appropriate - all I care about is the out of this world formulation. For a moment (or should that be post), I'm going to ask that you forget all about liquid lipsticks. As great as they may be, they are not quite in the same league as a traditional tube of lipstick, and there is also the fact that they are nearly always drying and matte.
For me, two stand out formulations spring to mind - one high end and one budget friendly buy. When everyone anyone asks me what is the one lipstick formula I would recommend above all others, there is often a look of surprise when the words Estee Lauder tumble out of my mouth rather than MAC.
