Weekly Must-Have: Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam
Unless you’ve been living in a bubble, then you know that Jen Atkin, celebrity hair stylist to tressed-blessed ladies like Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Chrissy Tiger, and Cindy Crawford, launched her own haircare line, Ouai, and it’s already reached obsession-worthy cult status. Her newest addition, a dry shampoo FOAM (yes, it’s wet!) is about to revolutionize the dry shampoo industry, so we had to check it out for ourselves.
And… I’ve been converted. But let’s start at the beginning: I’m a HUGE fan of dry shampoo (I often cite Klorane Dry Shampoo ($20) as a can’t-live-without product in my beauty arsenal). I have normal to dry hair and an oily scalp, so dry shampoo has become my salvation. But a dry shampoo foam" This sounded counterintuitive to me. I want to suck up the slickness, not apply more. But, hey, it’s Jen and she is responsible for some of my favorite bedhead looks of the last five years, so she must be on to something. I decided to use the Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam on third day hair. It needed a wash… badly. The roots were oily and my mane looked flat, almost lifeless. I applied a dollop of the foam onto my hands, rubbed them together, and massaged onto my scalp.
