It’s not easy to keep hair healthy in the cold, dry months, so we turned to two leading industry experts, stylist Jonn Rhamani and colorist Alexis Unno, both from Salon Yoshiko at Bergdorf Goodman, to get the scope on just how to (easily!) do it.
It’s actually quite short and sweet. “Make sure you trim the ends to keep them looking healthy and shampoo less frequently in the winter versus in the warmer months to allow for the natural oils in your hair to nourish your strands,” says Rhamani. He also suggests using products with hydrating ingredients like rice oil. “Rice oil is a natural protectant and is full of soothing ingredients to nourish the scalp and hair.
