Three Current Favourites From Clinique
My first experience of using Clinique was over 30 years ago when I wanted a foundation and my mum steered me towards the Clinique counter. Though it was an expensive choice for a 16 year old, my mum insisted that it was important for my skin that I used a good quality product. This meant that I missed out on that teenage beauty milestone of wearing a foundation several tones more orange than my skin (even in those days Clinique’s shade range was really good). It was also the start of a lifelong relationship with the brand. I don’t think there’s been a time in the past few decades when I haven’t been using at least several Clinque products. Here are 3 my current favourites…
Even Better Glow Light Reflecting Makeup SPF15 Once you get older the true test of a foundation isn’t what it looks like when it’s freshly applied but how it looks a couple of hours later. Unfortunately on more mature skin, a lot of foundations have a tendency to sink in and emphasise pores, dry patches and lines so what starts off looking good can soon end up looking anything but. Even Better Glow definitely isn’t one of those foundations – it looks great freshly applied and it looks great 5/6 hours later.
It has a moisturising formula and claims to offer sheer to moderate coverage. Though the moisturising aspect is spot on, I’d personally describe it as medium coverage. It evens out tone without completely masking skin. Another reason...
