Well, here’s to the power of TikTok. Three hours after TikToker Mikayla Nogueira claimed that the Valentino Twin Liner is her new favorite eyeliner, it sold out.
Naturally I, too, had to try it and see what the hype is about.

Turns out, it is in fact pretty stellar. For one, it’s double ended – a semi-matte liquid liner on one side and a smooth gel eyeliner on the other. It comes in four shades (the liquid is black for all, but the gel color varies) and even though it has that glistening look and glides easily, it doesn’t bleed or smudge. Like she says in the review the black is BLACK, so you’re getting a high impact, highly pigmented look that stays put for all-day wear.
I get allergies with almost every liner (teary eyes), but I didn’t have that issue with this one. My go-to liner is usually a liquid one from the Sephora Collection because, besides not aggravating my allergies, it can’t be beat for the price ($12). That said, it’s undeniable that the Valentino one goes on more precisely plus it has the bonus of being double-ended. Whether or not that’s worth paying more than triple the cost ($40), that depends on the look you’re going for. For a simple rimmed eye I don’t think there’s a need for paying 3x the price, but for a look that requires precision (basically anything other than a basic waterline liner), it’s worth the splurge, in my opinion, for anyone who can afford it as it easily ...
