Here?s a little information about the practice of oil pulling… This ancient Ayurvedic daily health routine is used to freshen breath, whiten teeth, remove plaque and is believed to pull toxins and bacteria deep from inside the tissues. With a teaspoon of coconut oil (or sesame) in your mouth, you swish (pull) the oil back and forth through your teeth for up to twenty minutes per day. It takes a bit of time to work up to the full twenty minutes. Just begin the practice with swishing for even five minutes to see / feel the benefits. After which time you then spit the oil into the bin. Coconut oil solidifies at room temperatures so you don?t want to clog your bathroom sink.
