The new Tarte Kiss & Blush Cream Cheek & Lip Palette ($42)

Oh, OK? I get it.
I was wondering why Tarte decorated their new Kiss & Blush Cream Cheek & Lip Palette with sand dollars, since I usually associate those with summer and beaches, and the palette is out for fall, but check it: when you open the palette, the six pans are arranged in a star shape, like the shape in the center of a sand dollar.

The five outer pans are creams that you can wear on your lips and cheeks, and the smaller pan in the middle is an opalescent highlighter (also a cream) ? all built around the theme of a natural, everyday look, which is another unusual move for Tarte, since fall is typically a time, at least in makeup marketing, for more serious, full-on makeup.
The colors are designed to play well with all skin tones, and the creamy formula, which is easy to blend on top of foundation or bare skin, is mega moisturizing (it contains vitamins C and E).
