The Smith & Cult Spring 2017 Collection
When I first saw Washed Demim, the nail polish from the Chanel Spring 2017 collection, I snapped it up. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed by it. I was in the mood for a blue polish and though Washed Denim is blue, it has grey overtones that really show themselves on the nail . Basically, it  just wasn’t cheery enough. What I really wanted (which I knew when I saw it) was the kind of blue that Smith & Cult launched for their Spring 2017 collection which is called Exit The Void.
Exit The Void is a happy blue so it’s perfect for this time of year even if the weather isn’t always as spring-like as it should be. When it comes to nail polish, it’s funny how certain colours hit the spot and some just don’t. Also in the collection is Sugarette which is a frosty white with a bit of smoke to it. It’ll work particularly well on tanned or deeper toned skin but I still really liked it on my more pasty complexion. I normally find that frosted/pearly polishes don’t sit well on my nails and show up very ridge but this goes on really smoothly.
While Sugarette and Exit The Void are limited editions there’s a new permeant shade that makes ups the Smith & Cult 2017 collection and that is Glass Souls. This silver glittery shade has actually turned into my favourite as I just find it so mesmerising.
