The Only Co-Wash That Has Ever Worked For Me
I fully understand that typically speaking Co-Washing was not intended for my hair type: thick, wavy but fairly manageable, I also know that the concept is better suited for those with curly and/or more unruly hair. That however does not stop me from trying to adapt the concept for my needs, it has been a fairly lengthy process due to the aforementioned reasons - I guess a little like trying to squeeze into a pair of too small jeans and yet with persistence I have found a product that works for me. In case you are not familiar with the concept of co-washing and/or have yet to try it for yourself, let me briefly explain. As you may have imagined co-washing is just as it sounds, washing the hair with conditioner - in most cases completely forgoing shampoo or at least drastically cutting back on soapy suds. For some they may only rely on shampoo every 4-6 weeks, or simply whenever they feel their hair needs to be traditionally cleansed. Of course this concept is not for everyone, if you have fine and/or oily hair to rely on conditioner and water to remove oil would be utter madness. However for those with curly and/or drier hair types it can make all the difference - hair can be more manageable, easier to comb and of course softer.
