The Liquid Real Life Instagram Filter
Two bloggers I fully trust are Laura and Stacey, both have great taste and well informed opinions on any products they feature and recommend. Now when two of your favourite product pushers both highly recommend a product, what is a gal to do" Order, order without second thought and that is what leads me to NIOD Photography Fluid. A liquid highlighter that has quickly become hailed as a real life Instagram filter for the face. Imagine a product that imparts a subtle, glowing shot of radiance, all the while perfecting the skin and reducing any visible signs of redness. Yep, you may want to dust off your bank card now...
Before we get to the bare bones of this review, let me share my one and only criticism in regards to NIOD Photography Fluid - the packaging. For such a beautiful and dare I say clever product, the packaging sucks! NIOD Photography Fluid isn't your run-of-the-mill liquid highlighter, don't let the term fluid fool you, this is more akin with a cream consistency. As such the dropper style dispenser is all but useless: it doesn't effectively collect the product and more often than not results in surplus product/waste. The real problem is the dropper gathers product all around the tube rather than inside the dispenser; this results in excess cream that oozes out the top of the bottle, and eventually dries to a crispy coating around the bottle opening. Less than attractive nor ideal. I personally feel that NIOD Photography Fluid would be more user friend...
