The Haircare Edit – What I’ve Loved This Year So Far…
Unfortunately my hair is not what it once was and this has given me a new interest and appreciation in haircare. The right products can make a difference for any hair type but this is especially the case for hair that’s below par. This year I’ve been trying out lots of new products and these are the ones I like the most. It wasn’t until I gathered them together that I realised that the common theme amongst them was that they are either sulphate and/or sodium free and contain lots of natural ingredients. Products that have harsher ingredients (and which typically cost less) are now not an option for me.
Kevin Murphy Smooth.Again Wash & Rinse
It’s very hard to find ‘anti-frizz’ ranges that smooth hair but don’t make it look lank, weighed down and then greasy a few hours later. Smooth.Again bucks the trend and tames my somewhat course hair but still leaves it with some body so it doesn’t just fall flat. I’m trying to cut down on using heat on my hair and find that I still get the smoothing effect from these products even when I don’t blow dry. It uses targeted ‘cationic technology’ that lets the product find specific areas of the hair strand that are damaged by heat, chemical processing or are dehydrated (very futuristic). The Wash contains monoi oil from gardena flower, sunflower seeds and murumu seed butter, olive fruit oil and the Rinse has cocoa seed butter and brazil nut oil so they really ...
