The Estee Edit – A Mixed Review
A while back I wrote about the launch of The Estee Edit with a reasonable amount of optimism and excitment. It’s a range from Estee Lauder that’s been devised with the younger beauty consumer in mind. Though not aimed for women of my age I really liked the look of it and ordered a few bits from Sephora to try.
Unfortunately, I was left with mixed feelings about the range. Some of the products I really like but others left me feeling disappointed. Maybe, this goes to show that they weren’t pitched at my age group for a reason.
The price point is less than original Estee Lauder products and I think this shows in lower quality formulas and packaging. But, again, this might not be something that the milliennial beauty lover cares about and it’s also likely they’re new to the brand so don’t have any pre-fixed expectations. The Estee Edit is currently only available in the US but I think it’s coming to the UK next month. Following are mini reviews of the products I’ve tried.
The Barest Blush
The main problem I have with this is that the blush doesn’t sit solidly in the compact. It kind of moves from side to side and gives the impression it might fall out. Also, it’s a struggle to open the case. Hopefully, these are glitches that will be ironed out as the blush itself is nice, albeit a bit dusty. One more point is that the gold you can see is an overspray that disappears after first use.
