I think we are all well enough informed to know that not every product will be a hit, along the way we are all sure to discover a few misses; sure it's annoying and it is expensive, especially if said item works so well for someone else but I guess it is all part of the learning process. I am a huge believer that just because I don't hold something in high esteem, doesn't mean it won't work for someone else and as such , I do try my best to highlight in any reviews where a product under-performs and if my skin is to blame. Spoiler - more often than not it is. That's not to say I can't grumble with the best of them and below is a few recent purchases that have left me slightly underwhelmed.

I love sheet masks, in fact I use one every single night and my skin has never been better but one of the very few that I wouldn't recommend is My Beauty Diary Lemon Vit-C Sheet Mask. Now on the whole My Beauty Diary Sheet Masks are great: low cost, effective and fairly easy to get but My Beauty Diary Lemon Vit-C Sheet Mask irritated my skin. After just two minutes of application my skin became tight, uncomfortable and irritated. Needless to say I quickly removed the mask, washed my face and slapped on some Aloe Vera gel to cool and calm my complexion. Never again.
