Yes, a Star Wars makeup collection is a thing.  When a blockbuster movie comes out, there are always endless opportunities for products to market.  And this time, CoverGirl is taking advantage of one of the most anticipated movies ever, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and used the uber talented and popular makeup artist Pat McGrath to help design it.
Star Wars hits the movie theaters this Friday and I got the opportunity to pick which side I wanted to create a look for : the dark side or the light side.  Pat McGrath created 6 looks in all to choose from.  Typically,  I would go for the good girl approach (the light side) but this time, I decided to be a tad bit more rebellious and go for the dark side by using the products from the Dark Apprentice collection. Of course when you see the looks that were made for the TV ads and commercials, they are looks that the majority of real women would never have the guts to wear out in public.  They’re just too theatrical.  But once you break down the products and use them in a slightly more toned down way, they actually are quite wearable and awesome!
