Skinade – The £100 A Month Beauty Drink Reviewed
While supplements that claim to rejuvenate skin aren’t anything new there’s an increasing interest in this area as clinical studies are showing that they can really work. I’ve gone through stages of taking various ones in the past but haven’t bothered with any for about a year or so. However, I was tempted to get back on them again after hearing such good things about one particular brand – Skinade.
I was given a 5 week supply to try out last year and I’ve continued to buy them since as I’m pretty convinced that the benefits outweigh the downside (they’re expensive). They come in liquid form (either pre-made drinks or sachets you mix with water) which makes the ingredients more readily absorbed by the body. It’s actually thought that the absorbtion rate is about between 80-90% where as if you were to put the same ingredients into pills you’d need 20 of them and only 30-40% of the nutrients would be absorbed. The key ingredient in Skinade is Hydrolysed Marine Collagen (7000mg per shot) which is basically collagen derived from fresh water fish that has gone through an enzymatic hydrolysis process to decrease  the molecular size in order to make it absorbable. Other ingredients include vitamin b complex, vitamin c, I-lysine, msm and organic flax seed oil.
The studies that show their efficacy do look promising and improve all aspects of skin health such as wrinkle depth, hydration and tone with the result...
