Sisley Phyto Lip Twist Tinted Balm – Review & Swatches
Sisley’s Phyto-Lip Twist Tinted Balms have been a big hit since they launched so an extension to the range of available shades was inevitable. To add to the original nine, there’s now another six and these cover a good balance of colours.
The reason for their success is because they take the best elements of a lipstick – the pigment and staying power – and combine it with the comfortableness and moisture infusing elements of a balm. They leave a lovely sheen on the lips without being sticky and make lips look smooth and plump.
Another reason why I think they’re a winner is that the lids don’t come off. So many chubby-style makeup pencils lose their lids when being carried about which is so infuriating. They’re also twist up so half the pencil isn’t wasted through sharpening it. I was given Sugar and Poppy to test which wouldn’t have been my natural choice but I’ve completely fallen for them. Often great discoveries are made when you stray from your normal path and this is true in makeup and in life. Sugar is a sweet pink that’s flatters lips when you don’t want them to the single focus of your makeup look (like when you’ve done a strong eye). Poppy is a face brightening and striking pinky red that can be built up from vibrant to daring.
At £29, these are definitely a luxury item but it’s something you’ll use till it’s gone and get a lot of pleasure from and this more than ...
