RODIN Olio Lusso sprung from when it’s founder, Linda Rodin, started mixing her own oils and handing them out to her friends to try. Word spread about how good they are and Linda built up a brand around them. It’s even said that the surge in popularity of skin oils stems from these. As well as only using the highest quality non synthetic ingredients the design of the products is second to none and I’m sure Glossier have been inspired by it. The brand is now owned by Estee Lauder but Linda’s inspiration still carries through and RODIN continues to be as much of a cult beauty brand as it ever was.
I’ve been trying out a few of the products and here are my thoughts…
The Luxury Lipstick
These are my favourite products out of everything I’ve tried. There were originally 5 shades and another 5 have recently been added. In a way I hope they don’t add many more colours to the collection as I think there’s a benefit of having a tight edit. I also think smaller collections can mean that each shade is the perfect one for it’s colour family and this seems to be the case here i.e. the perfect red, the perfect plum etc. The lipstick ingredients includes the signature Jasmine and Neroli Oilio Lusso blend along with Rose and Lavender Flower wax, Vitamin C & E and Apricot, Argan and Meadowflower Seed Oils.
