I should begin by saying that I have a hot and cold relationship with primers. Whilst I’ve definitely seen the benefit of some smoothing and radiance boosting offerings, I can just as easily do without them. I have pretty dehydrated skin so makeup doesn’t slide off me and most of the time some good skincare and a little facial massage does more for me than most primers can. Unless I’m trying to fill in some overly enthusiastic pores (we all have ’em) or it’s summer/that time of the month and I’m trying to keep the oil at bay, I’m firmly of the belief that a good moisturiser can suffice.
The fact that I’m not totally addicted to primers makes this post all the more interesting. I didn’t think I would end up writing a public love letter to one primer in particular but ladies and gents that day has arrived and the object of my affection is a multi tasker.
