OOTD: Floral On Floral (And The Bits We Don't Like)
One of the biggest issues about putting yourself 'out there' via the power of the internet, is the scrutiny it inevitably brings. Although there are so many different body shapes and types that should all be celebrated, unfortunately it's our culture to pinpoint any imperfections and differences in order to bring other people down. Fortunately the overwhelming reaction to my content and outfit posts (which I've thoroughly enjoyed bringing to you over the last few months) has been positive and celebratory, but I've had the occasional negative piece of feedback generally about my weight or appearance - of course left anonymously, because people aren't brave enough to stand behind their own identities when it comes to bringing others down. I'm confident enough in my own skin to mostly brush it off with an eye roll and a moan, but that doesn't make the comments even less cutting. Having just finished watching Thirteen Reasons Why it's an issue that's currently close to my heart and generating a lot of internal reflection, but maybe more on that later. So why the heart to heart" When I look at these pictures I see one of my most hated body parts (my chunky knees) so it took a lot for me to think 'f*ck it' and post them anyway - but why should we shy away from sharing 'imperfect' images of ourselves, when everyone has their own insecurities"
THE LOOK Right now I'm having a bit of a wardrobe crisis. My heart says I was to embrace the summer dresses and pastel ton...
