I spent the Bank Holiday bowling with a group of friends at the recently reburshined Queen’s Ice and Bowl in W2. I was reluctant to go as it used to be so awful I couldn’t imagine how they could have managed to turn it into a pleasant place to hang out. It used to have the look of a 1970’s amusement arcade and it felt like a fight could start up at any second (apparently at the weekends it quite often did). Now, it’s finally been dragged in the 21st century with lots of pale wood and clean lines. The image below is one I grabbed from the internet as I completely forgot to take any pictures myself but I think that’s kind of forgivable on the 2nd day of a new year.

 
I’ve loved old skool style Adidas trainers since the 80’s when they were just known as trainers. While the fashion pack have probably moved on from Stan Smiths on to something else I’m still hooked on mine. I first spotted this pale pink pair on Abigail from Freedom PR’s Instagram feed and had to order them. I already have the velcro version in white and they’re not exactly the same – the finish/edges on the pink ones are a bit raw and they’re not quite as comfy. However, the colour is so great and I look forward to wearing them once the weather’s more clement.
