My Beauty Review Of 2017
I was in two minds about publishing my review of beauty in 2017 because I?m so ridiculously late with it. However, in the fast moving world of beauty, I think there?s a lot of value in highlighting the things that impress over a long period of time regardless of whether it?s pegged on to a particular date landmark or not.
Having said that, I actually didn’t think 2017 was a great year for new products. There are definitely some that I really love and will continue using in 2018 but just not that many compared to previous years.
My overall favourite new launch is the Murad City Skin Age Defense SPF 50 (reviewed HERE). At £45 it might seem expensive for a daily SPF but its benefits make it more than worth it. It protects against pollution, blue light from screens, infrared radiation as well as UV rays. What’s really great about it is that it does everything and still has an easy-to-wear formula. It’s neither greasy or drying, sits well on top of serums without pilling and doesn’t leave a white residual. In fact, it has a peachy tint to it that gives skin a nice glow. Interestingly, it gets top marks by the notoriously hard to please ‘experts’ on Beautypedia.
The new Survival range from NIOD is innovative and impressive in equal measure. I?m a strong believer in products that provide a protective barrier against the elements and the Survival range uses the most advanced ingredients to do this. The two products I like to keep in my stash a...
