My 3 Most Used Cream Eyeshadows
I love the ease and simplicity of cream eyeshadow. You can wear it alone, you can wear it as a base for other eyeshadows to build on top of, you can blend with a brush, or with your fingers. . . it’s just an easy makeup product to work with and the results are long-lasting and rich!
I’ve used a handful of different cream eyeshadows over the years, and these 3 are the ones I tend to reach for the most as of late. I still love the MAC Paint Pots, which were a makeup essential for me many years ago, but I’m preferring the application of a stick instead of a pot these days.
I prefer to use a brush to blend out the cream shadow, but your fingers would work just fine too. A flat brush like this one from Sephora would be a great option if you are looking for something.

Laura Mercier Au Natural makes my blue eyes pop. It’s a beautiful cool taupe shade that would work on a lot of different skin tones. Laura Mercier in Caramel is a classic warm brown, which is another easy to wear shade that can be work alone or as a base with a darker chocolate brown in the crease.
And Bare Minerals in “Turned Up” is pretty similar to Mac’s Paint Pot in Painterly, it’s just a little thinner consistency and blends a little easier as well. I’ve worn this on its own plenty of times or treated it a...
